A new exclusivity deal between Chicken of the Sea and two of its global shrimp suppliers marks two firsts for the industry: India’s first Fair Trade seafood certification and the first simultaneous Fair Trade certification of two different geographic areas. “With shrimp as the most-consumed seafood in the country, this certification provides U.S. consumers with the volume of Fair Trade-certified options they are starting to demand,” said COSFF Senior Procurement Director Henry DelaLlana.
