Ingredients
- 1 (66 oz) can Chicken of the Sea® Solid White Albacore in Water, drained
- 3 ½ Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 2/3 c chopped onions
- 3 1/3 c water chestnuts, minced
- 2 ¼ c mushrooms, minced
- 27 leaves iceberg lettuce
Special Sauce
- ¾ c + 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 2/3 c water
- 6 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 6 1/2 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 6 1/2 Tbsp ketchup
- 3 ½ Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/3 tsp sesame seed oil
- 1 – 2 Tbsp garlic, minced
- 6 1/2 Tbsp water
- 3 Tbsp + 1 tsp hot mustard
- Red chile paste (optional)
Instructions
- Make the special sauce by dissolving the sugar in water in a small bowl.
- Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, ketchup, lemon juice, sesame seed oil and garlic. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Combine the water with the hot mustard and set this aside.
- In a pan, add olive oil and heat on high.
- Add tuna, garlic, onions, water chestnuts, and mushrooms to the pan.
- Sauté the mixture for a couple minutes then evenly distribute the mixture into each lettuce leaf.
- Drizzle with the Special Sauce and garnish with hot mustard and red chile paste.
