Ingredients
- 1 (43 oz) pouch Chicken of the Sea® Chunk Light Tuna in Water, drained
- 1 ¾ c seasoned breadcrumbs
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 c diced red bell peppers
- 1 c diced green bell peppers
- 1 c chopped green onions
- 3 ½ Tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tsp hot sauce
- 3 ½ Tbsp vegetable oil
- 11 whole wheat hamburger buns
- 11 Tbsp low fat mayonnaise
- lettuce leaves
- sliced tomatoes
- sliced red onions
Instructions
- In bowl, combine the tuna, bread crumbs, and eggs. Stir in the bell peppers, green onions, Cajun seasoning, and hot sauce to tuna mixture until combined.
- Evenly divide and shape the tuna mixture into eleven patties.
- Heat lightly oiled griddle over medium heat.
- Cook tuna burgers until browned and heated through.
- Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on each of the eleven hamburger buns, top with a tuna burger, lettuce, tomato and onion. Drizzle extra hot sauce on top if desired.
